Car Shipping Checklist

Enclosed below is a Car Shipping Checklist which you can print and use prior to shipping your vehicle.
_____ Shipping Date - Double check the day the transporter is picking up your vehicle and call them to verify.

_____ Insurance - Check your auto insurance policy to make sure you're covered for any possible damage.

_____ Keys - Provide one complete set (ignition, trunk and glove box) keys and keep a spare set for yourself.

_____ Electronics - Remove all GPS systems, satellite radios, car phones, ipods, cd players and garage door openers.

_____ Antennas - Remove or retract all antennas including radio, cell phones, cb and satellite radio antennas.

_____ Racks and Covers - It's a good idea to take off all removable ski and luggage racks and spare tire and grill covers.

_____ Wash Car - Wash your car prior to having it picked up so you can easily note any damage priot to the shipment.

_____ Take Pictures - It's a good idea to take pictures of the entire exterior to avoid any conflicts after it's delivered.

_____ Vehicle Glass - Check and take pictures of all the glass and note any scratches, chips or cracks.

_____ Car Alarm - If possible, disable your car alarms especially sensitive alarms in case something sets them off.

_____ Fuel Level - It's a good idea to have between a 1/8 and 1/4 tank of fuel.

_____ Personal Items - Check with your carrier to see if they will allow you to up to 100 lbs in your trunk or backseat.

_____ Inspections - You will need to have someone present at both the time of pick up and delivery. This is a requirement so someone can confirm your vehicle's condition and sign the Bill of Lading and Condition report and to pay the driver.
